Old Holland Claessens Oil Primed Belgian Linen Canvas starts with 100% Belgian linen, made exclusively from natural flax. The linen is prepared with two coats of oil primer for a primed weight of 11 oz per square yard. Each coat of primer is applied with a knife, and the canvas is allowed to dry for three days between coats.
 
Once primed the canvas is stretched and back-stapled for optimum strength. Expertly folded corners make it easy to restretch the canvas if desired.
