Open Positions

Product Photographer | Freelance, Part Time

Position Overview:

We are looking for a creative and brand-oriented product photographer to highlight the best qualities of our product through images. The product photographer's responsibilities include liaising with the marketing team, sourcing props within Gwartzman's for shoots, arranging the products, and editing pictures.

Responsibilities:

● Taking high quality, clear images of art materials for use on the Gwartzman's website 
● Researching the product to understand how best to photograph it
● Editing images to match the Gwartzman's brand
● Staying up to date with the latest image editing software.
● Refreshing older, smaller images with newer ones
● Indexing and organizing the new images as per our requirements

Requirements:

● Have your own camera/photography equipment
● Proficiency in Photoshop, Lightroom, or other photo editing software 
● Profiency in Google Suite
● Previous experience as a photographer (with a portfolio)
● Excellent communication skills
● Ability to form new concepts for each product shoot.
● Good time management skills 

Schedule:

As necessary due to seasonal requirements.

Warehouse Assistant |  Full-time, Permanent

Position Overview:

The Warehouse Assistant is an integral part of our warehouse team, responsible for efficiently picking, packing, and preparing online/ pick up customer orders. This role requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and committed to ensuring accurate and timely online order fulfilment. The ideal candidate will also assist with inventory working closely with our receiver/inventory manager.

Responsibilities:

Order Picking and Packing, Receiving and Shipping

● Accurately pick, verify, and pack online customer orders in accordance with company standards
● Ensure accuracy in item selection, quantity, and quality while adhering to established procedures
● Pack orders as needed securely and efficiently using appropriate packaging materials, labelling, and documentation
● Prepare shipments in accordance with courier and e-commerce shipping requirements
● Assist to receive deliveries delivered by courier or truck
● Assist to ship orders by courier or truck
● Assist to move inventory between warehouses and warehouse spaces.

Inventory Management

● Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies
● Notify supervisors of low stock levels to ensure timely replenishment
● Follow inventory management protocols to prevent errors, stockouts, and overstocks  

Quality Control

● Inspect products for damages, defects, or incorrect labelling before packing or shipping
● Follow quality control guidelines to ensure only high-quality products are dispatched
● Report any issues or concerns regarding product quality or discrepancies to supervisors

Safety and Compliance

● Comply with all safety guidelines, including proper handling of equipment, materials, and hazardous substances
● Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and maintain a clean workspace

Collaboration and Communication

 ● Collaborate with team members and departments to facilitate efficient order fulfilment and resolve order-related issues
● Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding challenges, concerns, or suggestions for process improvement.

Warehouse Maintenance

● Assist to maintain a clean workspace

Qualifications

● High school diploma or equivalent
● Minimum of 2 years in a warehouse or distribution centre environment
● Experience using online order management systems, handheld scanners, or e-commerce platforms is an asset
● Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods
● Ability to work in hot and cold environments
● Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
● Familiarity with inventory management systems or the ability to quickly learn such systems
● Good math skills to count, sort, and verify quantities
● Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
● Excellent command of English language
● Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to teamwork
● Knowledge of art materials is an asset
