Sintra is a lightweight yet rigid plastic board of moderately expanded closed-cell polyvinyl chloride (PVC) extruded in a homogeneous sheet with a low gloss matte finish.

It can be softened to shape by immersing in hot water.

Attention: Never cut Sintra with a laser cutter, as it will emit pure chlorine gas. This is not only is this a health hazard, but will also destroy the laser cutter.
