Produced in small, quality-tested batches, each pan is hand-filled and meticulously labelled with a swatch on watercolour paper. The paints themselves come in hand-filled full pans, carefully packaged in protective wrap, branded silver foil, and adorned with a delicate sweep of the corresponding colour on watercolour paper.
The paper wrap also includes essential information such as the name of the paint, the pigment number, lightfast rating, staining properties, granulation characteristics, and transparency rating. Every Thursday from 5 PM - 7:30 PM, we host a 'Mixed Media Art Night' at our pop-up location at Creeds Cafe. This event provides artists with a space to experiment with some of our favourite products. At our first art night, an experienced artist tried one of our Aquarius Watercolour sets and was immediately impressed by the level of control he had with each brushstroke of this vibrant paint.
He noted that the colours were bright and vivid, as you would expect from a high-quality watercolour set, but without the excessive runniness that can make some watercolours difficult to work with. Watercolours are a fantastic choice for artists who enjoy painting outdoors during the day or creating in a cozy, intimate setting at night. However, they can be frustrating if they bleed too much.
