Draw delicate fall leaves with Toronto artist Alan Li.
Celebrate the colours of the season by creating elegant botanical drawings with rich, handmade Black Walnut Ink. Guided by Toronto artist Alan Li, you'll learn to draw a beautiful autumn leaf using a traditional dip pen and nib—a timeless technique reminiscent of the warm, expressive sketches of Leonardo da Vinci.
Along the way, Alan will also share the fascinating process of making Black Walnut Ink from locally gathered walnuts, so you can continue exploring this centuries-old art form at home.
Perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike!
All materials are included, and you'll take home:
- A small bottle of Alan's handmade Black Walnut Ink
- A metal drawing nib
- A dip pen holder
- Your finished artwork on fine art paper
Whether you're curious about historical drawing techniques, love nature-inspired art, or simply want to spend a relaxing afternoon creating, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to slow down, learn a beautiful new skill, and leave with handmade tools and artwork you'll treasure.
Spaces are limited—register today and welcome the beauty of fall through ink and line.
